Rachel is a graduate-level therapist currently completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand View University, working under the clinical supervision of Dr. Paula Lintin.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Rachel has spent the better part of three decades living abroad, over two decades dedicated to supporting the military community, and a decade immersed in diverse cultures across the world. This experience, marked by change, resilience, and the ongoing work of building connection in new places, cultivated a genuine respect for the many different ways people navigate the world and find their footing.

Before entering the counseling field, Rachel earned a Bachelor of Science in Plant Ecology from the University of Washington, deepening a lifelong appreciation for the natural world and its quiet role in human wellbeing.

Rachel’s approach to counseling is rooted in person-centered, humanistic principles, a deep belief that every person holds within them the capacity for growth, healing, and self-understanding. This foundation shapes everything, while the therapeutic journey itself is guided by each client’s unique needs. Drawing on techniques from Reality Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness practices, Rachel brings the right tools to support each client on their individual path.

Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, Rachel tailors her approach to the unique needs, goals, and pace of each individual. Meeting clients exactly where they are is not just a philosophy, it is the foundation of everything Rachel brings to the therapeutic relationship.

In sessions, clients can expect a space that feels warm, genuine, and free from judgment, a place where they are truly seen, accepted, and supported to explore their inner world in whatever way feels most meaningful to them. For some, that may simply mean having a space to be heard and to gain clarity; for others, it may mean taking purposeful steps toward change. Rachel honors both, and everything in between.

Rachel works with clients ages 13 and up and is pleased to support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem and personal identity, career and life transitions, stress management, relationship challenges, military family life, infertility, and adoption. All sessions are provided under the clinical supervision of Dr. Paula Lintin as part of Rachel’s graduate training at Grand View University.
